When one is in the bathroom, the Storsjön can be extended by using the outer handle, which can be seen in the figure on the left. The outer component extends first, so the cabinets can be used for storing. For the ease of using, the cabinets have a small board on the bottom to prevent products from falling out.  

 

When someone is inside the shower, the Storsjön can be opened using the two handles attached to the soap trays on the inside, as seen in the figure. With these handles the outercomponent can extend and retract. There are two handles on the shower side, because in the middle there is no room for a handle. By designing two handles it is aestheticly nicer and the Storsjön can easily be opend by children and adults.
